Youngcare Simpson Desert Challenge 2019

Youngcare is a not-for-profit organisation spearheading powerful and positive change to help more young people with high care needs, live the lives we all deserve. There are simply too many young people in Australia being left behind, living in inappropriate and unacceptable housing. It is an issue that spans the corners of the country, yet it's so close to home.

The Youngcare Simpson Desert Challenge will provide supporters who undertake the Trek with a striking reflection of the challenges that young people with high care needs face daily. They will trek 250km over 9 days through the centre of the Simpson Desert, climbing more than 1,000 sand dunes in temperatures ranging from 0 degrees during the night and 40 degrees during the day with no access to a shower, toilet, or bed.

Tricon is proudly sponsoring Wolff Group who has committed two employees to undertake the Trek to support the cause. They have committed to raising $55,000.00 which will go towards providing fully accessible and age appropriate living spaces, grants for equipment, home modifications, and support through a national phone line.
